Abitur 2020

In diesem Jahr polarisiert die Frage um die Abhaltung der  Abiturprüfungen sowie andere wichtige Prüfungen viel mehr als je zuvor. Noch nie zuvor wurde über die Form der Abiturprüfung so kontrovers diskutiert wie bei diesem Jahrgang. Grund hierfür ist der Coronavirus. Es wird in Frage gestellt ob man in Anbetracht an die Corona- Krise an den Abiturprüfungen festhalten könne. 

An vielen Schulen kam es sehr plötzlich und durchaus unerwartet spätestens ab dem 16.03.2020, abgesehen von der Notbetreuung, zu bundesweiten Schulschließungen. Dies stellte besonders die diesjährigen Abiturienten vor große Ungewissheit und Herausforderungen, die so als einzigartig zu betrachten sind. 

Abitur: Entscheidungen und Meinungen zur Durchführung

Die Kultusministerien entschieden, dass das Abitur zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt normal stattfinden kann. Das Land NRW hat sich jedoch beispielsweise dafür entschieden die Prüfungen drei Wochen nach hinten zu verschieben um den Schülern noch mehr Zeit zum lernen einzuräumen. Bereits vor dieser Entscheidung wurde von zwei Abiturienten aus Hamburg durch eine Petition der Vorschlag eines Durchschnittsabiturs eingebracht. Aktuell wurde dieser Petition jedoch von politischer Seite kaum Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Hier findet ihr die Petition.

Laut dem Hamburger Schulsenator Ties Rabe würde der Beschluss an den Abiturprüfungen festzuhalten auch berücksichtigen, “dass es gegenüber den Abiturienten der vorangegangenen und Folgejahrgänge schwer zu erklären ist, wenn jetzt ein ganzer Jahrgang ohne die schweren Abschlussprüfungen mit nur 66 Prozent der geforderten Leistungen ein gleichwertiges Abitur bekommt“ (RABE). Zudem würden außerdem einige Schüler jedes Jahr das Abitur nicht bestehen, weil diese bloß die Abiturprüfungen nicht bestehen würden (vgl. RABE) 

Im Vorfeld schloss die Vorsitzende der Gewerkschaft Erziehung und Wissenschaft (GEW) Ilka Hoffmann nicht aus, dass es aufgrund der Corona- Krise möglich sei auf die Abschlussprüfungen im Rahmen dieser Krise zu verzichten. „Eine Ausnahmesituation wie die Corona- Krise verlangt besondere Regelungen (…) Der Großteil der Punkte, die in die Abiturnote einfließen, wurde ja schon in den Kursen in der Oberstufe erworben“ (HOFFMANN).

Neben den eben aufgeführten Stimmen gibt es auch zahlreiche kritische Stimmen, die sich gegen die normale Durchführung des Abiturs aussprechen. Ein 17-Jähriger Abiturient findet bezüglich der Entscheidung klare Worte. Er bezeichnet die Entscheidung als „extrem unfair, rücksichtslos und vielleicht sogar fahrlässig“ 

Des Weiteren fordern Schülervertreter aus NRW, dass die Abiturienten die Möglichkeit haben sollten selbst zu entscheiden , ob sie die Prüfung ablegen wollen. Oder als zweite Möglichkeit des Durchschnittsabiturs nutzen wollen, da es auch unter den Schülern kein einheitliches Meinungsbild gibt. 

Abitur: Persönliche Sichtweise

Abschließend möchte ich hier noch meine persönliche Sichtweise mit einbringen. Zunächst einmal finde ich es durchaus verständlich, dass man das Abitur nicht einfach so “verschenken” möchte und somit an den Prüfungen festhält. 

Jedoch gibt es auch aus meiner Sicht zahlreiche Faktoren warum ich es als kritisch erachte an den Prüfungen festzuhalten, trotz der sehr prekären globalen gesundheitlichen Situation ausgelöst durch den neuartigen Coronavirus. Während die halbe deutsche Wirtschaft womöglich immer  noch ausgesetzt ist, halte ich es für das falsche Signal, die Abiturienten mit dem ÖPNV zu den Prüfungen fahren zu lassen um dann anschließend in engen Klassenräumen sitzen zu lassen. Außerdem könnte dies eine neue Infektionswelle nach sich ziehen. Dies wäre genau das was durch die zahlreichen Ausgangsbeschränkungen verhindert werden soll. Hierbei müssen wir auch an die Schüler denken, die zur Risikogruppe gehören! 

Für alle Mitglieder der Gesellschaft ist diese Krise eine außergewöhnliche Situation. Besonders die Ungewissheit die dies mit sich bringt wird von vielen als sehr belastend wahrgenommen. Somit ist zu bezweifeln ob es den Abiturienten wirklich gelingt sich adäquat auf die für sie sehr wichtige Prüfungen vorzubereiten und letztendlich möglich wenig  Nachteile aus dieser Situation zu ziehen. Auch bin ich der Meinung, dass es jetzt zahlreiche Dinge gibt, die deutlich wichtiger wären als die Prüfungen. 

Zusammenfassend lässt sich meiner Meinung nach sagen, dass es sehr wichtig ist eine zufriedenstellende Lösung für alle Abiturienten zu finden. Sollte sich die Kurve der Infektionen jedoch nicht deutlich abschwächen, müsste ernsthaft darüber nachgedacht werden ob sich nicht doch eine alternative Lösung finden lässt.
